Cry Freedom (USA, 2001)
Director: Richard Attenborough
Cast: Kevin Kline, Denzel Washington
The plot: The story of South Africa's black activist Stephen Bliko, told by his friend, white newspaper editor Donald Woods, and their persecution by the apartheid's regime.
Note: Bliko and later Woods are closely watched by the South-African plain-clothed police, driving an unmarked black (right-hand drive) 67/68 Plymouth Valiant. The distinctive car is seen throughout the film and becomes the symbol of this surveillance and oppression.
The car has a 67' front grille but 68' rear lights.
