Oil is probably my favourite painting media, because it gives colours a exceptional brillance and is more forgiving to errors.
A few years ago I switched to "water-soluble" oils as they are much more practical than traditional ones.
I prefer to paint thinly rather than use impasto, and I don't normally use more than two or three sittings to complete a painting.
